In addition to the 50 yard, deep water pool with swim lanes and a diving well, new tennis and basketball courts were installed by the County in 2010, and Jake’s climbing rock was installed next to the pool in memory of Jacob Knapp, a 19 year-old local college student who passed away unexpectedly in his sleep several years prior.  Another project, The Hales Corners Veterans Memorial, was dedicated in the park on May 27, 2012.   The park also contains two baseball diamonds with bleachers, playground equipment, a kiddie wading pool, and a walking/biking path.  The Friends are continually working on projects and improvements to the park and pool to enhance this asset for residents and those in neighboring communities.
