The Veterans Memorial Committee held our seventh Memorial Day ceremony earlier today since we dedicated the Veterans Memorial in Hales Corners Park in 2012.
Also, I experienced an awesome surprise today when Paul Gregory, Navy veteran and his wife Beth showed up for the ceremony today.
Several years ago I had invited Paul to check out our Veterans Memorial in the future and he showed up today. Pictured are Paul, Beth, Howard Hingiss, WWII Navy veteran and retired Police Captain from the Hales Corners Police Department his wife Betty and myself.
Paul and Beth met me at the Bosch in Hales Corners afterward. We ate some snacks and had a cold beer and talked about everything.
Thank you Paul Gregory! You and Beth made my summer with your presence today!
